Trump Transits Trigger Market Plunge

The Trump Transits giveth, and the Trump Transits taketh away.

They brought us a huge rally after the election.

But now they’ve changed their tune. Is an unprecedented crash in the works next?

Trump Transits Spell Trouble

The Current Trump Transits Spell Trouble for the Markets

As I highlighted last week in a special webinar session, we can expect to see ever-more extreme market reactions.

Those reactions, I suggested, are due to U.S. President Donald J. Trump and his bizarre behavior.

The session focused specifically on What’s Behind The Huge Horoscope Threat To Donald Trump.

Let’s face it.

The influence of Trump can’t be ignored.

And today, with the Trump Transits in full swing, it was awesome.

We saw surging political instability trigger wild selling in the markets.

It was a blood bath.

The Dow Jones Industrials were down 372.82 points, for a net decline of 1.78%

The S&P 500 Index took a 43.64-point nose dive, giving up 1.82% in a single trading session.

The NASDAQ Composite got clobbered with a spectacular loss 158.63 points, dropping by 2.57%.

And the Russell 2000 took the booby prize with a loss of 38.79 points, for a net plunge of 2.78% for the day. That drop was big enough to put the Russell into negative territory for the year to date.

Trump Transits In Full Swing

Not a good day, any way you look at it.

But what’s chilling here is Donald Trump’s horoscope.

It’s really being whacked right now.

And there’s more.

Looking at the chart for the Justice Department is amazing, too!

Did you know the Justice Department is going through a Saturn Return?

That’s a stressful thing for individuals, of course. And it isn’t very pleasant for governmental organizations, either.

We got into all that, and a lot more, during the webinar.

I’ve just been reviewing the recording of that event. And as is so often the case, it leaves me in awe of the true power of astrology!

Mother Of All Bombs Brings Vulcanus To Afghanistan

It’s the Mother Of All Bombs.

That’s the military slang for the enormous MOAB.

Aside from nuclear weapons, i’s the biggest, most destructive attack device in the possession of the U.S. armed forces.

Mother Of All Bombs

MOAB – The Mother of All Bombs

The GBU-43/B Massive Ordnance Air Blast, commonly known as the Mother of All Bombs, is a large-yield conventional (non-nuclear) bomb, developed for the United States military by Albert L. Weimorts, Jr. of the Air Force Research Laboratory.

At the time of development, the government touted it as the most powerful non-nuclear weapon ever designed.

And yesterday, on April 13, with President Donald Trump’s escalation of the conflict in Afghanistan, the need for a big public relations move resulted in the first-ever use of this enormous weapon in a combat situation.

Politics aside, the gigantic explosion was a huge media success. They love being able to talk about this dramatic use of the Mother of All Bombs.

Nowhere To Go But Nuclear

In terms of military strategy, it may have been effective in removing some key cave hideouts used by ISIS in its ongoing guerrilla operations. Initial reports from Afghanistan indicate that between 35 and 82 Islamic State fighters were killed by the bomb blast. There have been no definitive reports of the damage to facilities and equipment.

But one key question remains. So what happens next?

Isis is unlikely to get scared and run away, no matter how much damage was done by the Mother of All Bombs.

And if the U.S. military wants to use something even more powerful in a future escalation, there’s another problem. They have nowhere to go but nuclear.

How Much Is The Mother of All Bombs?

This massive explosive device doesn’t come cheap. According to The Fiscal Times, the “Mother of All Bombs, is a 20,000-pound monster. It took $314 million to develop and has a unit cost of $16 million.” So it only takes a few of them to justify big increases in the U.S. military budget.

The big explosion didn’t help Wall Street, though. Prices continued to move lower after the event. Stocks closed at their lowest levels since mid-February.

It’s now clear that geopolitical events – and the astrological dynamics behind them – are once again a big factor in the markets.

What was most interesting astrologically, though, was the timing of the event.

As I mentioned in a recent blog post, yesterday was a direct station by the transneptunian Vulcanus.

Vulcanus On Display

I described it as expressing “an offer you can’t refuse” in that post.

I pointed out that Vulcanus represents “dynamic energy at the extreme” and “coercion by the highest authority, in the most emphatic way.”

If the Mother of All Bombs doesn’t show those traits, what does?

Mother Of All Bombs Horoscope

The horoscope for the dropping of the Mother Of All Bombs in Afghanistan.

And to underscore the Vulcanus connection, the timing was important, too.

The Mother of All Bombs was dropped at 7:32 p.m. Afghanistan Time.

That was exactly 4 hours and 15 minutes after the Vulcanus station.

Transneptunians, anybody?

Saturn Station Slams World Affairs

A Saturn station sets limits.

This outer planet is the greater malefic in traditional astrology.

Because of that tradition, it often gets a bad rap.

Saturn is all about negative things and stressful circumstances.

So it rarely feels good when we experience its effects.

It gives us an endless stream of trials and tribulations.

That’s why it’s the great teacher in our lives. It’s here so we can learn our big life lessons, whether we like or not.

Saturn Rings - Saturn Station

Like a Saturn station, the planet’s rings define a sense of specific limits. This Hubble infrared photo from space shows their mysterious beauty.

Saturn is famous for its rings.

They symbolize cosmic limitations imposed by a harsh environment. Because of those limits, we need personal discipline and extra dedication.

Saturn is about contraction, concentration, and crystallization. It represents conventional or conservative attitudes.

Those attitudes can trigger exaggerated pessimism or a sustained sense of lack.

But Saturn is also about time, definition, and structure. It can thus help us anchor plans and activities.

When we pay attention to Saturn we can set specific goals. We can create schedules and make commitments.

These opportunities peak whenever we have a Saturn station.

A Retrograde Saturn Station

The latest Saturn station came yesterday. Saturn began its retrograde motion at 27°48′ Sagittarius.

It was a significant turning point in politics, commercial discourse, and international affairs.

North Korea used the Saturn station as an occasion to launch a test missile toward Japan. It was part of the country’s efforts to redefine itself as a prominent nuclear power.

The “nuclear option” was also in play in the United States Senate.

That’s because the Republican majority rewrote the legislative body’s rules for confirmation of Supreme Court justices.

The move increases the likelihood that future members of the Court will be political extremists. So they are less likely to be moderates with well-reasoned commitments to nonpartisan judicial deliberations.

There was also action in the US House of Representatives. The Saturn station saw Congressman Devin Nunez recuse himself from the Intelligence Committee investigation of Russian interference in US elections.

He retained his seat as committee chairman. But mounting ethical pressure obliged him to bow out of the investigation.

So he reversed course as Saturn went retrograde.

The Saturn station also brought big shifts in geopolitics.

Chinese President Xi Jinping arrived in Florida to meet with US President Donald Trump at his private Mar-a-Lago resort.

And as his dinner with Xi was about to start, Trump ordered a missile strike against Syria. The military action marked a major reversal in US posture in the Syrian conflict.

Impact on the Markets

Like any planetary turning point, this Saturn station could trigger short-term market reversals. But it’s also likely to bring changing conceptions of market conditions and economic trends.

Saturn Station 90-Degree

The 90-Degree Dial for the Current Saturn Station

As the 90° dial shows, the Saturn station is in an eighth-harmonic alignment with the transneptunian factor Poseidon. This signals a major break with previous ideological loyalties.

So we may feel the fallout in the markets.

Saturn also triggers the Aries/Chiron midpoint. This suggests big geopolitical challenges during coming months.

One More Thing

And there’s one more factor here.

As the Saturn station began, there were White House rumblings about possibly reinstating the Glass-Steagall Act or its equivalent.

If this happens, it would represent a major shakeup of global banking interests.

It could signal a big shift in key market forces as well.

Stay tuned.

The Donald Trump Election and W. D. Gann

Rally After Trump Election

It’s just been 24 days since the Donald Trump election as president of the United States.

We still haven’t completely assimilated its consequences.

The Trump election surprised the political pundits, to say the least.

We weren’t 100 percent certain about the outcome prior to election day on November 8th.

But we certainly weren’t as surprised by the Trump election as many of the television talking heads seemed to be.

After all, following the lead of top mundane astrologer Nick Campion, we had examined the transits to the natal horoscopes of the presidential candidates on inauguration day.

Trump Election Results Show At The Inauguration

Nick says that since the exact time of the new president taking office is specified by law, the inauguration chart, set for noon on January 20, 2017, is the best guide to an election’s outcome.

The transits to Hillary Clinton’s natal chart on that date aren’t particularly horrible. They aren’t particularly outstanding, either.

Trump election inauguration

The ultimate outcome of the Trump election is shown on Inauguration Day.

But Donald J. Trump’s transits are pretty spectacular.

In fact, they clearly define the expectation for a Trump election.

At the time of the Oath of Office, Venus will be in a 150-degree quincunx to Donald Trump’s natal Jupiter. That signals a particularly joyful time, although it may lack fulfillment at some level.

Venus will also be in opposition to Trump’s natal conjunction of the transneptunian factors Cupido and Apollon. This suggests a time of harmonious union with many people, with an emphasis on oratory and vocal skill.

Perhaps most importantly, however, transiting Jupiter will be trine Donald Trump’s natal Sun.

Alfred Witte describes the Sun/Jupiter combination as signifying “the cheerful man” or “fortunate rich man”.

That pretty much nails the outcome of the Trump election.

The Stock Market Reaction To The Trump Election

As the news of the Donald Trump election began to break in the early morning hours of November 9, stock market futures began to plunge. But that nose-dive didn’t last long.

Rally After Trump Election

The market rally after the Trump election continued for weeks before topping out at the New Moon.

By the time the markets officially opened at 9:30 Wednesday morning, stocks had bounced back.

They started a spectacular rally that went on for weeks.

In fact, it lasted until the next New Moon, a stressful event with an impact both in and out of the markets.

Again, this was a surprising development for many pundits, who had anticipated a market crash in the event of a Trump election.

But students of W. D. Gann weren’t surprised.

Gann’s Comments Applied To The Trump Election

In his 1923 book Truth of the Stock Tape, W. D. Gann specifically addressed the question of “After-Election Rallies” in the stock market.

“When any important election, either presidential or otherwise, take place,” Gann wrote, “and the market has pretty well discounted it, but the general public through the country figure that the event is favorable, they, of course, send in buying orders the next day after election, and stocks are strong until this demand is satisfied. It will always pay you to wait two or three days after election and see whether the market continues to move in the same direction after election as it did before.”

To add perspective current to his day, Gann mentioned the 1912 election of Woodrow Wilson. (As a side note, there’s an interesting comparison of the Trump election with that of Wilson by Bloomberg commentator Jonathan Bernstein.)

“Stocks were strong the first day after Wilson was elected the first time,” W. D. Gann noted, “but the decline started promptly after public buying orders had been filled. Always be careful of buying on top of after-election rallies. In the same way, if stocks open off and decline the first two or three days after election, be careful about selling them, as it may be only the public selling because they are scared and the insiders may support the market and start an advance.”

Good advice!

Double Retrograde New York Battle

Things are really heating up in the New York battle.

It’s a scramble for hearts and minds.

It’s a no-holds-barred street fight.

And it’s definitely superb theater.

Voters Picking Sides In The New York Battle

Yes, it’s hard to ignore the political dynamics right now.

The primary elections in New York are scheduled for April 19, and that’s the most obvious arena in the current New York battle.

On the Republican side, Ted Cruz looks like he may have a hard time gaining much affection, especially after his repeated criticisms of “New York values”.

Trump's New York Battle

Donald Trump’s celebrity status has given him plenty of publicity in his bid for the Republican presidential nomination in the New York battle and elsewhere.

Donald Trump, meanwhile, has been a big player on the New York scene for quite some time.

But in many cases his own unique personal version of New York Values has created enemies as well as friends and admirers.

On the Democratic side, New York native Bernie Sanders is going toe-to-toe with New York transplant Hillary Clinton, and their rhetoric has been getting surprisingly nasty.

The New York Battle Is More Than Just Politics

In many respects, the current New York battle is just another over-the-top expression of New York exuberance at its finest and most extravagant.

After all, in New York who needs an election to have an excuse for opinionated bluster?

There are always battle lines to be drawn.

There are always heroes and villains to designated.

There’s always a home team to root for, no matter who you might think the home team is.

The Planetary Difference

But this time, however, there’s an interesting distinction in the current New York battle.

The New York primaries come on April 19.

That’s the date the Sun moves into Taurus.

It also comes on the heels of a surprisingly rare planetary event – nearly simultaneous retrograde stations by Mars and Pluto.

Mars goes retrograde on April 17, and Pluto goes retrograde on April 18.

It’s the kind of one-two punch that could have a major impact, not just on the New York battle on election day, but in other realms as well.

You’ll find a quick recap on the double retrograde, along with some intriguing historical connections, in this 4-minute video:

Check it out.

And then make up your own mind about probable outcomes in the New York battle!

Presidential Election Deception?

What have you heard lately about the presidential election?

Probably a lot.

The news media have been ignoring lots of significant world events lately.

They’ve been choosing instead to devote boundless attention to the U.S. presidential election circus.

And what a circus it is!

The never-ending stream of Republican debates.

Primaries and caucuses.

The latest attack ads and dirty tricks.

And, of course, the latest antics from Donald Trump.

Who Will Win The Presidential Election?

That’s the most popular question, needless to say.

But asking it now is at least a little bit premature.

After all, the voting for the presidential election isn’t soon. It’s still more than eight months away.

The major parties haven’t finalized their nominees yet.

But forecasting is what astrologers are supposed to do.

So let’s review a couple of astrological approaches to figuring out presidential election outcomes.

Astrological Approaches To A Presidential Election

There is, of course, the date of the presidential election itself.

This year it will be on November 8.

We can study the planetary positions for that day, and get some sense of the alignments that may impact the presidential election results.

But the challenge is, the polls are open for a presidential election in the U.S. for many hours. The voting results span many time zones.

That makes it difficult to pinpoint accurate astrological charts to use in forecasting.

A more direct approach, one that is preferred by many excellent mundane astrologers, is to use the time of the presidential inauguration.

By law that’s set for noon on January 20 following the outcome of the presidential election.

A comparison of that inauguration horoscope with the natal charts of presidential contenders often yields useful information.

The Aries New Year and The Presidential Election

There is, however, one additional consideration worth looking at.

It’s the New Year’s horoscope.

In this case, we’re not looking at January 1.

Instead, it’s the astrological New Year, the time that the Sun goes into Aries.

That’s the Spring Equinox in the northern hemisphere.

It’s the Fall Equinox down under.

When we set that Aries ingress chart for Washington, D.C., we get an annual figure to use in forecasting the entire year ahead for the U.S.

That includes the presidential election.

To do so, it’s helpful to use the 90-degree dial favored by symmetrical astrologers.

presidential election axis at the equinox

The annual horoscope, set for the Aries equinox, highlights the potential for the presidential election when we examine the Node/Zeus axis.

On the dial, we can adjust the pointer to identify the axis of the True Lunar Node and the transneptunian factor Zeus.

This Node/Zeus combination is the astrological signature of cooperative actions in general, and of elections in particular.

And, as the 2016 equinox dial reveals, that Node/Zeus axis is potent.

It resonates strongly with the Pluto/Chiron midpoint (problems and embarrassment created by big money and excessive power) and the Neptune/Vulcanus midpoint (large-scale deceptions and disappointments, plus significant loss of power).

It’s fair to say, then, that we can expect gut-wrenching experiences as we move through the presidential election cycle throughout 2016.

There’s obviously much at stake here.

This presidential election has the potential for shaking up conventional political and governmental structures in some very big ways.

Steps Along The Way

We’ll wait to speculate about the winner of the 2016 presidential election. The right time is after the major political parties have selected their nominees.

And we’ll review the election results when they come in.

But in the meantime, we can use the Node/Zeus midpoint in the Aries equinox chart as a key tool.

It’s an indicator of the important times we should be watching for key developments in the presidential election process.

The planetary transits to that Node/Zeus midpoint are especially critical.

We can look at them not only as direct passages, but also as eighth-harmonic alignments.

For example, there was an activation by Mars on February 10.

That’s when both Carly Fiorina and Chris Christie suspended their campaigns.

The next Mars event is October 4.

Of particular interest are the activation of the Node/Zeus axis by Mercury on February 27 (South Carolina Democratic primary) and April 19 (New York primary).

We’ll also be watching the alignments by Venus on April 9 (Wyoming Republican caucus) and July 28 (the closing day of the Democratic national convention).

And we shouldn’t overlook the exact fourth-harmonic alignment by Hades on June 6. That’s the eve of presidential election primaries in California, Montana, New Jersey, New Mexico, North Dakota, and South Dakota.

Hades may be the most descriptive of the entire presidential election process!

The Dark Side in American Politics

It was bound to happen.

American politics is definitely headed for the Dark Side, and there doesn’t seem to be much we can do about it.

For evidence of that fact, all we have to do is pay attention to the news.

Is The Dark Side The Norm?

Of course, there are plenty of wild-eyed conspiracy theorists (and even some pretty reputable researchers) who would argue that American politics and the Dark Side are actually one and the same thing. See, for example, The Nine (Sinister Forces: A Grimoire of American Political Witchcraft, Book 1) and its follow-up volumes by Peter Levenda.

But as might be expected, expressions of the Dark Side in politics have typically been advanced in a secretive or veiled way, rather than being admitted in public.

At least that’s how it was handled in the past.

What seems to be different now is how close to the surface those Dark Side tendencies apparently are.

The astrological factors at work behind the scenes may be the root cause. We have just made it through the three-year series of waxing Uranus/Pluto waxing squares, which has added enormous friction to the social and political environment.

And even though the exact alignments between these two planets are behind us, the influence of this potent combination will continue to be felt throughout 2016. That impact supports more moves toward the Dark Side, in and out of politics.

Convictions and Allegiances

The presidential election in the United States is still a year away, but for months now a gaggle of candidates from both major political parties have been preening and posturing in their efforts to gain public approval.

Many are touting their personal religious convictions as evidence that they should get the nod from voters.

But some of the candidates are more candid about their allegiance for the Dark Side. Marco Rubio, for example, recently confessed his admiration for the villain in Star Wars, saying that he “felt sorry” for Darth Vader.

Fans of the Death Star

Rubio also says that his favorite toy was the Death Star.

LegoDeathStar

Even though Rubio has been criticized for his sketchy knowledge of the series of Star Wars film, his affection for the Death Star offers an interesting resonance with Ben Carson’s obsession with the pyramids.

Carson’s strange notions about the ancient structures may have some disturbing implications for foreign policy if he were to become president, but they also remind me of the idea by physicist Joseph P. Farrell that the pyramid of Giza was in fact constructed as a Death Star, to be used in interplanetary warfare.

So even though Ben Carson had his portrait painted with Jesus, he may be unconsciously flirting with the Dark Side himself.

Of course, the matching spa bathrobes that Ben and Jesus wore for that portrait don’t come close to Donald Trump’s “Make America Great Again” baseball cap as a Dark Side fashion statement. Trump continues to send signals that tap into grassroots anger, even if he’s doing so in a particularly entertaining way.

Substituting Cheese for Xenophobia

And then there’s this intriguing variation on the Donald Trump theme:

Is this the ultimate expression of Dark Side apparel, or just a blatant appeal to ignorance? Perhaps neither one. After all, the notion that we need to “Make America Grate Again” does more than just describe the tone of today’s political conversation.

It could just be aimed at dedicated cheese lovers (perhaps with shades of the “Blessed are the Cheese Makers” in the Life of Brian Sermon on the Mount). And along the way, it doesn’t rule out militant vegans. After all, you can grate carrots just as easily as cheese.

Either way, it expresses the kind of political pluralism that could be an especially healthy antidote to the Dark Side obsessions sweeping politics today.

Russian Planes Hit Syria World Point

Russian planes have been in the news a lot lately.

They’ve been flying over Syria, and have apparently been doing lots of damage, not only to insurgents on the ground, but also to Russia’s relations with the U.S. Those relations have gotten very icy indeed.

Putin Flexes His Muscles

At one level, it’s easy to see the presence of Russian planes in Syrian skies as just an example of Russian President Vladimir Putin showing off.

Putin is sending Russian Planes to Syria

Macho man Vladimir Putin’s health may be great – but what else should he be worrying about?

As I’ve noted previously here, Vladimir Putin definitely likes to flex his muscles. That’s true even when he’s got his shirt on. But there are other worries brewing here. Vladimir Putin has been telling the world that those Russian planes are hitting ISIS targets – and that may be true. According to some sources, there is some evidence of massive desertions in the ISIS ranks since the Russian bombing began.

A Master Chess Player

But as Jim Cummins has pointed out in the past, the Russian leaders is a master chess player. He’s always thinking several moves ahead in the game of geopolitics.

Turkey isn’t very happy with the situation – it says the Russian planes are violating its air space, so they’re in danger of being shot down. And according to the U.S. news media, those Russian planes are flying now solely in an effort to prop up the Bashar al-Assad regime in Syria. Whether or not they are hitting ISIS targets, Russian bombs are also falling on Syrian insurgents who want to get rid of Bashar al-Assad. These are the so-called “moderate extremist” forces that the U.S. supports. It’s a group that includes, oddly enough, some members of al-Quaida in Syria.

As is all too often the case, the dogged American determination to get rid of governments who don’t agree with us makes for strange bedfellows.

But What About The Timing?

As international tensions continue to escalate, it’s important to step back and get a broader perspective whenever possible.

That’s where the tools of astrology come in.

We can of course learn a lot from the timing of the events in Syria themselves, and from the natal horoscopes of the world leaders making news. But even without the presence of Russian planes in the skies of Syria, a quick glance at one of the current planetary phenomena is informative. It can tell us a lot about what may soon be playing out on the global stage.

Mercury has been retrograde since September 17.

Mercury retrograde periods always mark times when communications can get confused, plans may not work out as intended, and intentions can be grossly misunderstood. So at the very least it’s a time when the leaders of countries would be wise not to jump to conclusions.

An End To Mercury Retrograde

But the Mercury retrograde period will be coming to an end on Friday, October 9. And that’s when things are likely to get even more interesting.

The Mercury Direct Station, the time when Mercury finishes up its retrograde motion and starts moving forward again, is always a critical point the retrograde cycle. More often than not, it seems to intensify the confusion, incompletion, and miscommunication that have been in play during the previous three weeks, while the planet has been in apparent backward motion. So this coming weekend will be a time for extra caution.

But that’s not the end of the story.

World Point Activation

When Mercury goes direct on October 9, it will be at 0° Libra.

That initial degree of a cardinal sign is one of the extraordinarily powerful “World Points” in the zodiac – whenever they are activated by significant planetary events or alignments, it’s a signal that we can expect to see major events with global implications.

But what kinds of events?

On previous occasions we’ve discovered that if we want to gain insights into current situations, it can be useful to study those previous times when planetary stations took place at the zodiac degrees currently being activated.

According to the tables listed on page 270 of Mercury, Money and the Markets, there has only been one previous time since 1900 when Mercury made a station at 0° Libra.

That was on September 2, 1983.

Russian Planes and American Casualties

On that date, Mercury made a Retrograde Station instead of a Direct Station, but its alignment with the World Point definitely had a global impact – and Russian planes were involved.

On September 2, 1983, U.S. Representative Lawrence P. McDonald, a Democrat from Georgia with a reputation as the most conservative member of Congress at the time, was in a group of Americans who were among the 269 passengers and crew members aboard Korean Air Lines Flight 007, traveling from New York to Seoul, South Korea. That civilian airliner was shot down by a fighter plane from the U.S.S.R. near Sakhalin Island in the Sea of Japan.

There were no survivors.

Needless to say, this was a major international incident, instantly ratcheting up Cold War tensions to new heights.

U.S. President Ronald Reagan, calling the downing of the airliner “a horrifying act of violence,” cut short his California vacation and called an emergency meeting of the National Security Council in Washington.

Secretary of State George P. Schultz was visibly enraged when he responded to questions about the event at a news conference, declaring that “We can see no excuse for this appalling act.”

Accusations and counter-accusations started flying. It didn’t take long for all sorts of conspiracy theories to start surfacing – about former U.S. President Richard Nixon, about the CIA, and, of course, about Russian planes.

And it all happened when Mercury was stationary at 0° Libra.

So, with another Mercury station coming up at the same zodiac degree in just a few days, it makes sense to pay particular attention to global tensions now.

Especially since Russian planes are already in the news.

Donald Trump’s Horoscope = Money

Trump's New York Battle

Donald Trump’s horoscope is worth examining. After all, Trump has been a hot news item during the past few months.

The provocation, of course, is his run for U.S. president. Right now his poll numbers have dropped slightly, but he’s still way ahead of other contenders for the Republican Party’s nomination.

Donald Trump’s horoscope says a lot about him, and it clearly matches what we can see of him in public. He’s flamboyant, outspoken, unpredictable, and a widely-known celebrity – all of which gives him plenty of free publicity.

Donald Trump's celebrity status has given him plenty of publicity in his bid for the Republican presidential nomination.

Donald Trump’s horoscope helps explain some of the celebrity status that has given him plenty of publicity in his bid for the Republican presidential nomination.

And, of course, Donald Trump is also a billionaire. He can easily finance his own bid for the presidency, without having to depend on party bosses or wealthy donors.

What Makes Donald Trump Tick?

Although he’s a surprisingly complex individual, Donald Trump’s horoscope reveals some of his major strengths and idiosyncrasies in a very direct way. The balance of energies in his chart gives us some important clues to his real character.

But Donald Trump’s horoscope also shows his enormous capacity for wealth. It’s truly a powerful money chart.

Video Highlights of Donald Trump’s Horoscope

While it’s possible to do an in-depth study of all the nuances in Donald Trump’s horoscope, even a quick overview can reveal a lot about the man and what really make him tick.

A good place to start is with the new video I recently produced. It’s only about 7 minutes long, but it opens up some of the keys to finding the money in Donald Trump’s horoscope.

Australian Prime Minister Eclipsed

The Australian Prime Minister has been ousted – and his overthrow closely coincided with this week’s solar eclipse.

As I’ve mentioned a number of times in recent weeks, I have long been expecting the partial solar eclipse a few days ago to have a very big impact on global politics, the financial markets, and key economic and social dynamics.

In the new e-book on Claiming New Territory: Shifting Dynamics at the Solar Eclipse of September 2015, there’s a lot of analysis of currencies, stocks, commodities, historical eclipses, and potential hot spots around the world.

Ignoring The Australian Prime Minister

Even so, I have to confess that I wasn’t paying particularly close attention to domestic politics in Australia, and the Australian Prime Minister really wasn’t on my mind at all.

That’s why I was particularly grateful to get an email on Monday from Michael Correll in Sydney, with the subject line “Solar eclipse over Antarctica brings palace coup in Australia?”

“Dear Tim,” Michael wrote, “The recent Solar Eclipse over Antarctica and Jewish New Year appears to have brought a late-night palace coup to Australia with PM Tony Abbott being overthrown by lawyer and merchant-banker Turnbull MP.

“Turnbull is my MP for the federal seat of Wentworth In Sydney’s upscale Eastern Suburbs.”

Australian Prime Minister Tony Abbott’s Woes

Tony Abbott

Former Australian Prime Minister Tony Abbott, who was replaced at the partial solar eclipse of September 13, 2015.

During his tenure as Australian Prime Minister, Tony Abbott has certainly had his share of problems. Last February, after he had been in office for just 17 months, his own Liberal Party tried to unseat him from his post. Abbott described the event as “a near-death experience.”

But Abbott begged his party to give him more time to get his act together as the Australian Prime Minister, and his colleagues obliged by granting him six months to turn things around with his administration.

Even so, the Liberal Party continued to lose credibility under Abbott’s leadership, not only losing favor to the political opposition, but also many Australians who didn’t agree with Tony Abbott’s personal positions on key issues, including his stance opposing gay marriage.

Time Finally Runs Out For Abbott

With Abbott’s popularity among Australians plunging to just 15%, it had become increasingly clear that his days were numbered. Time ran out for the Australian Prime Minister with the solar eclipse on September 13.

Tony Abbott Eclipse Dial

The solar eclipse on September 13 (the red pointer) activated Hades in Australian Prime Minister Tony Abbott’s natal horoscope, as well as the midpoints of Midheaven/Kronos, Ascendant/Zeus, Venus/Saturn, and Saturn/Vulcanus.

As this 90-degree dial for Tony Abbott’s horoscope shows, the eclipse triggered Hades, the transneptunian factor associated with decay, severe disappointments, and negative circumstances in general.

It also aligned with Midheaven/Kronos midpoint (to become the cause of your own obstacles and suffering); the Ascendant/Zeus midpoint (to come under pressure from spiteful individuals around you); the Venus/Saturn midpoint (broken alliances and impoverishment); and the Saturn/Vulcanus midpoint (to confront mighty opposition and to be placed in danger from enemies).

In short, the solar eclipse didn’t treat Tony Abbott very nicely!

Malcolm Turnbull ousted Tony Abbott at the solar eclipse to become the new Australian Prime Minister.

On September 14, the day after the solar eclipse, Malcolm Turnbull resigned as Communications Minister in Tony Abbott’s cabinet, and then immediately announced that he was challenging Abbott’s leadership of the Liberal Party. In spite of a frantic last-minute attempt by Abbott to rally support, the Liberal Party members took a vote on the challenge the same day.

The ballot was the final blow for Tony Abbott. He lost by a 54-to-44 vote margin to Malcolm Turnbull, who then became the new Australian Prime Minister.

When he announced his challenge, Turnbull had fiercely attacked Tony Abbott, who, he said, had clearly lost the support of the Australian people and had “not been capable of providing the economic leadership our nation needs.”

The outcome of the party vote was a remarkable contrast to events in 2009, when the more conservative Tony Abbott beat Malcolm Turnbull for leadership of the Liberal Party by a margin of just one vote.

Turnbull was sworn in as the new Australian Prime Minister on September 15.

A Different Kind of Eclipse Effect

Given the outcome of the political wranglings in Australia this week, it’s interesting to compare the eclipse effects on Malcom Turnbull’s horoscope with those on the chart for Tony Abbott. We don’t have a record Turnbull’s birth time, but analysis on the 90-degree dial gives us a practical way of seeing the major impacts.

Malcolm Turnbull Eclipse Dial

We don’t have an exact time of birth for the new Australian Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull, but this 90-degree dial analysis shows the solar ellipse (the red pointer) triggering the midpoints in his natal horoscope for Sun/Saturn, Mercury/Jupiter, and Zeus/Poseidon. The net result is quite positive.

The contrast with Abbott’s chart is remarkable. The activation of the Sun/Saturn midpoint is an indication of an older man (Turnbull is three years older than Abbott) taking on a position of responsibility.

With Turnbull’s Zeus/Poseidon midpoint being triggered by the eclipse, we get a picture of strong leadership promoting new ideas. And the activation of the Mercury/Jupiter midpoint in Turnbull’s horoscope simply suggests that the solar eclipse was a time for good news and a cheerful mood, promoting lots of smiles and plenty of conversation.

Eclipse Effects Can Be Nuanced

As we see the differences in the solar eclipse effects in the lives of these two Australian Prime Ministers, it’s worth remembering that solar eclipses can have a long-lasting impact as well as more immediate results. We should also remember, of course, that astrological events move individuals, countries, and organizations in a variety of ways, depending on their interactions with the appropriate horoscopes involved.

That’s exactly why I invest so much time and energy studying the anticipated effects of solar eclipses, and why I share the results of that research in publications like Claiming New Territory: Shifting Dynamics at the Solar Eclipse of September 2015. The aim is to make sure that you’re up to speed with the potential for immediate short-term consequences, and that you have the tools you need to examine long-term eclipse effects as well.
